Project Management

Projects involving software require careful planning and management. Input from many sources must be coordinated and integrated to ensure that the relevant issues are addressed and the appropriate methods employed to give a clear focused solution. Work must be completed on time and within budget, and must be supported by clear documentation. BEASY are experienced in participating and coordinating projects involving multiple contractors at national and international level. Partial list of clients:

Predictive Engineering

BEASY has extensive experience in developing and applying computational models. Problems can be tackled by either extending the BEASY software or by developing new tools. Studies have included:

Corrosion & Cathodic Protection

BEASY is the leading supplier of corrosion modelling software and modelling services and would welcome the opportunity to work with you to meet your corrosion modelling needs.

Engineers are frequently required to design corrosion contrl solutions for situations where:

- There is significant uncertainty in design variables

- There are a number of alternative design options

- The geometry is complex or beyond the knowledge bas gained from experience

- Significant interaction/interference is expected between CP systems

- A less conservative design is required for technical or economic reasons

Computer modelling provides the tools to predict how a particuler system will perform even for the most complex situations. It can provide quantitative information on the protection potentials achieved and the life of the system, thus reducing the risk of systems not meeting the design goals and enabling future managemnet of assets to be planned effectively.

Fracture Simulation & Assessment

BEASY is an internationally recognised leader in engineering computation and simulation for structural integrity, damage tolerance and mechanical analysis and would welcome the opportunity to work with you to meet your fracture mechanics modelling needs.

Engineers are frequently required to assess structures for damage tolerance and integrity. Computer simulation can provide:

- Data on how a crack will behave

- Crack growth rate

- The crack path

- Data to confirm mode of failure

- Data on critical crack size and residual strength

BEASY engineers can quantify the fracture mechanics behaviour for the "real part" without any simplifying assumptions. There are no restrictions on component geometry, loading, or crack shape. We can help determine critical crack sizes so that you can improve the timing and quality of your inspection and maintenance programs. Using BEASY's novel crack growth technology our staff can define the most likely crack growth path and help your NDT technicians search for flaws in structural components.

We can also estimate remaining service life for components with existing flaws. Our fracture analysis software is tightly integrated with fatigue crack growth material property databases and can be used with load spectrum data to perform either single or complex multi-axial load case analyses.

BEASY Services and Techniques

BEASY is at the forefront of developing and applying computational models to predict the behaviour of engineering products, systems and processes. Innovative solutions are applied by our highly qualified engineers to a diverse range of problems.

Staff use state-of-the-art methods and both theoretical and numerical techniques are applied in order that the clients obtain appropriate answers to their problems. Problems can be tackled from the fundamentals or by intelligent application of standard codes.

Our team of engineers offer:

- Extensive expertise and experience of modelling problems in many different application areas

- A thorough understanding of computer and numerical methods and their associated limitations

- Customised simulation tools and software development intelligent application of modelling tools and analysis of results

- And the development of new techniques
