NEW
for Version 10!
This
interactive seminar demonstrates the latest V10 release
of BEASY to introduce:
-
Computer
modelling techniques that simplify and automate the
process while simultaneously providing high quality
predictions of how cracks impact the behaviour and
life of structures and components.
-
New
techniques to simplify model creation and result
interpretation.
This seminar
will introduce the crack assessment computational tools
in the BEASY software package.
A
BEASY Engineer will guide you through the new tools
and capabilities available in V10 while solving typical
fracture applications. You will gain an insight
into modelling techniques and have the opportunity
to ask questions and discuss any particular requirements.
The
seminar presents the BEASY tools through 2D and 3D
worked examples, demonstrating how to:
-
Put
cracks in BEASY models and compute stress intensity
factors
-
Use
library material data to define crack growth laws
-
Use
fatigue load spectra to model the required fatigue
cycling
-
Put
cracks in models and compute the fatigue life, using
comparisons to "handbook" results
-
Create
BEASY models from finite element result sets and
perform a series of crack analyses
-
Compute
fatigue life from a series of stress intensity factor
results
You
will see the exciting new features in V10, such as:
-
BEASY
Crack Wizard
-
New
process control form of the fracture wizard
-
New
crack initiation tool
-
Use
of parametric crack definitions
-
Enhanced
result evaluation - including model display and animation
-
Creation
of multiple crack initiation model in a single step
-
Evaluation
of stress intensity factor solution for a series
of models
-
New
surface mesh tool including remeshing of crack surfaces
as the crack grows
High
Accuracy
Historically
stress intensity factor and crack growth data has
been approximated using standard reference solutions.
The
BEASY approach uses the real geometry, loading and
materials providing a highly accurate basis for life
prediction. The
results also include the effects of load redistribution,
multiple cracks, true crack path and crack shape modelling.
Automatic
Crack Growth
BEASY
not only provides stress intensity data but can also
predict how the crack will grow. Remeshing is automatically
performed by BEASY where necessary. The procedure is
highly automated with a crcak growth wizard guiding
the user.
BEASY
Provides Critical Information Needed
-
Will the
crack grow?
-
Will it
grow in an unstable fast or stable slow manner?
-
At what
rate will it grow?
-
To what
size can the crack grow before becoming unstable?
-
What is
the residual strength?
Who
Should Attend?
- Engineers responsible
for durability and damage tolerance on life.
Why Should
I Attend?
What will I learn?
What else do you get?
