Many
manufacturing processes for coating products
are based on galvanic/electrochemical processes.
The design of these processes requires still
on behalf of the designer to ensure the correct
location of anodes, shields and other factors
to ensure that the required coating is obtained
(eg, not too thick or too thin).
The
development of new methods based on the boundary
element technique has enables the performance
of the process to be predicted. With these
tools the key design parameters can be computed
on the process optimised to meet the product
specifications.
The seminar will include a
computer workshop where the software will be
applied to solve typical coating problems.
