| This
course provides practical modelling experience
in performing crack calculations using the most
up to date revision of BEASY Version 10. BEASY
provides the data for Damage Tolerance calculations
and Virtual Fracture Testing to help identify
fracture problems during design and not during
testing.
The course workshops include:
how to automatically add a crack into models
to compute fracture mechanics data; how to use
the interfaces to FEM: PATRAN, ABAQUS, ANSYS
and NASTRAN, and also how to zoom in to critical
areas of FEM models
This course teaches participants
the modern numerical methods of fracture mechanics
and provides hands on problem solving during
the workshops.
BEASY tailor the training courses
to address the specific areas of interest advised
by attendees, and provide modelling guidance
for the practical situations they could encounter.
In addition, training in model building will
use data that has been supplied to BEASY in
advance wherever possible.

Flexible Modelling |
| |
The BEASY crack modelling
software provides a flexible solution to engineers
who need to consider how cracks affect the
integrity and durability of structures and
components. Models can be developed to simulate
cracks either by automatic extraction of data
from FEM models or by the construction of
detailed multi-site damage models.
On this course you will learn
how to use the real geometry, loading and
materials to provide a highly accurate basis
for life prediction. The results also include
the effects of load redistribution, multiple
cracks, true crack path and crack shape modelling.
This course will provide
training in the range of new capabilities
and developments introduced with the latest
r12 version of the BEASY product including:
