The Challenge

A metro line with a car parking yard and ten traction zones is to be constructed. A pipeline runs parallel with the metro rolling stock parking yard, with a separation distance of 40m, for a distance of several hundred meters In order to ensure the design would not cause damage to the asset, the pipeline operator required a stray current interference assessment to evaluate the interference level and a further assessment of possible mitigation measures if unacceptable interference was identified.
